On Wednesday, in a solemn ceremony of the “For Sustainable Development” competition at Vilnius Town Hall, the best real estate projects of 2024 in Lithuania were announced and awarded. The competition has been organized for 17 years by the Lithuanian Real Estate Development Association (LNTPA) and the Academy of Sustainable Development. Additionally, the 20th anniversary of LNTPA’s activities was also celebrated.
In the residential category, two real estate projects were recognized as the best: “Naujasis Skansenas” in Vilnius, implemented by the real estate company “YIT Lietuva būstas” (architect: Algirdas Kaušpėdas, “JP Architektūra”), and the “Parko pakrantė” project (architect: Rolandas Palekas, “Paleko archstudija”) built by the company “Eriadas.”
In the multifunctional real estate category, the winner was the “B10” project in Vilnius, initiated by the company “Lietuvos draudimas.” The multifunctional complex was designed and implemented by two of the most prominent architect teams: “Archinova” and “PLH Arkitekter” (architects: Antanas, Aušra, and Aleksandras Gvildžiai, Virginija Kazlauskaitė, Jovita Saveikė; Steen Enrico Andersen, Lina Bareikytė-Dumčiuvienė).
The best administrative real estate project award went to the business center “Flow” (architects: Remigijus Bimba and Raimondas Gudauskas, “Architektūros kūrybinė grupė”). The project was implemented by the company “Eika development.”
The best commercial real estate project was the first phase of the “Urban HUB” project in Kaunas (architects: Steen Enrico Andersen, Lina Bareikytė-Dumčiuvienė, “PLH Arkitekter”). The project’s developer was the company “Urban HUB.”
The best Future Project was recognized as the “Švento Jokūbo kvartalas” (architect: Gilma Teodora Gylytė) in Vilnius. The project is being implemented by the investment management company “Lords LB Asset Management.”
Readers of the news portal 15min.lt also selected their favorites. Interestingly, the opinions of the public and the jury coincided on two projects. The most votes in the residential real estate category went to “Naujasis Skansenas,” while in the commercial category, it was Kaunas’ Urban HUB. The best administrative real estate project, according to the readers, was the “Dainava” business center (architect: Gilma Teodora Gylytė, “DO architects”), implemented by the company “Dataworld.” In the multifunctional real estate category, the public’s favorite was the “Šv. Stepono Baltas lapas” project developed by “Eika Development” and “SOLO SOCIETY City House Vilnius” (“Senojo miesto architektai”).
The 17th competition this year saw a record number of participants, with 37 real estate projects competing for the title of the best in their categories.
The total investments of the competing real estate projects in the main prize category amounted to about 370 million euros. Investments in public infrastructure alone exceeded 4.5 million euros. These real estate projects together contributed around 225,000 square meters of space for business and living, creating over 4,000 parking spaces.
The competition participants were evaluated by a 10-member jury, which included representatives from the Lithuanian Architects’ Union, the Lithuanian Builders’ Association, banks, VILNIUS TECH (Vilnius Gediminas Technical University), the Ministry of Environment, the Lithuanian Real Estate Development Association, and the media.
